Therapy via guided self-care
Our groundbreaking series of e-books are created to make self-care available to the masses. After qualifying as a hypnotherapist 15 years ago, I have helped people who were struggling with issues from relationship problems to coping with grief, but I also recognises the difficulty that many people have with seeing a therapist. Therapy can make a real difference to your quality of life, allowing you to recognise the difficulties you are facing, and take positive steps to cope with them and overcome them. It’s also true, however, that there are many people out there who have trouble seeing a therapist. It could be that they find the cost prohibitive, or that they have great difficulties in talking to someone, or talking about their life and emotions, face to face. That’s why I created the Restorative Creativity programme, to make self-care and therapy available to all who need it.
The ethos behind Restorative Creativity is empowering the reader to explore their own issues, and to use their own creativity to work through them and understand them better. Our current e-books each look at a specific life issue including grief, relationship issues, heartbreak, and building self-esteem and self-confidence. We are constantly adding to our titles and our new book, Dealing with Loneliness, will be available shortly.
Each book not only looks at the challenges we can all face in these areas, it also includes a series of self-care exercises that help people get to the root of their thoughts and emotions. Creative writing and journaling can be highly effective ways to develop an understanding of our problems, and in so doing develop the tools to rise above these debilitating challenges. I myself have found poetry, creativity and journaling to be a powerful way to deal with challenges I faced in my own life, and I wanted to share its benefits with others. It’s self-care as self-therapy, and I believe it can be a perfect solution for the many people who would not feel comfortable visiting a therapist of any kind in person.
This solution could bring benefits for people across the United Kingdom and beyond, making the power of therapy and guided self-care available to more people than ever before.
