We aim to make self-care and mental wellbeing available to the masses.
Restorative Creativity is founded by qualified Hypnotherapist, Yvette Holland.
The main purpose of Restorative Creativity is to help people restore their personal wellbeing and growth from limiting beliefs and negative experiences. To identify what is important to them, the life they wish to live, and the steps they can take to make this their reality.
We also embrace the acceptance that sometimes life is a struggle and by expressing ourselves creatively we can clarify our emotions which assists with any necessary healing process.
Our Therapeutic Creative Writing e-books are for those struggling with some of life’s issues who need help with their healing journey but are not necessarily seeking talking therapies. We bridge the gap between people who are struggling but they don’t want or need therapy.
If you are seeking a more ‘hands on’ approach we offer a unique, one hour deep relaxation package, incorporating a 30 minute guided meditation, followed by a 30 minute Indian Head Massage. This package is available within a 20 mile radius of South Yorkshire.
Our mission is to make a difference in people’s lives by helping them identify with their emotions, thoughts, and feelings and to offer comfort and assistance during life’s struggles through inspirational creative writing.
Our vision is to create guided learning journals and poetry books which offer people hope, increase their confidence and optimism, and offer comfort during difficult times.
Meet Yvette
Yvette Holland (nee Lowery), is the founder of Restorative Creativity.
As a qualified hypnotherapist, I combine my knowledge and experience with creative writing skills to help you to explore life’s difficult topics. Although I’m no longer a practicing hypnotherapist, I am involved with hypnotherapy assessing, helping students throughout their training and with their Diploma qualification. Leaving practice enabled me to have the time to create Restorative Creativity, in order to bring guided self-care to the masses. I am also a qualified Meditation Teacher and Indian Head Masseuse.
During difficult life events I found writing my thoughts onto paper helped clarify my emotions and provide answers I was seeking. Although therapy is extremely positive and helpful, there are time and cost implications and some people, although struggling, do not wish to seek therapy. Our collection of e-books helps to bridge this gap, allowing people to express their thoughts, educate themselves about the issue(s) that are troubling them, and learn problem-solving tips and techniques, in their own time, and in complete confidence.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching snooker, 80s music and stargazing.
My Personal Journey
When my mum died of terminal cancer, I really struggled with the issues around grief. I felt that I didn’t want to be a burden to anyone. I found that writing, poetry and putting my thoughts on paper was really therapeutic - which is what motivated me to start Restorative Creativity. Before I launched Restorative Creativity, I started my own personal journey of journalling and meditation; which really helped me to relax and cope with the stresses in life. I want to pass that onto other people, which is why I started Restorative Creativity.
