How Does Creative Writing and Wellness Fit Together?
Have you ever worked on certain problems or issues for years, seeming to make no progress and finding yourself going round in a circle, until a few new thoughts and ideas started to bring clarity and make sense? That’s what I found, through exploration and creativity, and this is the reason Restorative Creativity was born.
People often ask me why creative writing is therapeutic and the short answer is that it is good for you! Like other forms of self-care, creativity is more important for our well-being than people tend to appreciate. Humans are biologically creative and have been creating amazing works of art and literature since prehistoric times.
The process of creative writing is about the journey more than the destination. The exploration required reduces stress, allows our subconscious and conscious minds to blend together in a healthy way, and releases emotions and physical manifestations of these feelings which brings huge benefits.
Creative writing and journalling to express emotions in a safe, confidential environment which assists with decision-making and personal goals.
Self-care tends to be put on the back burner by most people, until they reach a point in their lives where they know they need help. It may be expressed through physical or mental illness or just knowing that we need to make changes. Our minds and bodies have an effective way of telling us that we need to take steps to heal.
The health and wellness benefits of creative writing led me on my path to helping people restore their wellbeing through our series of e-books and meditations. Our collection of e-books can help you restore your peace from your pain and struggles, with creative writing prompts, information, and guidance.
Whatever is troubling you right now, be it a lack of self-confidence, loneliness, dealing with a bereavement or living with imposter syndrome, let our e-books help bring peace, clarity, and harmony back into your life. Restore your personal wellbeing and growth with Restorative Creativity.
